Griselda de la Torre

Head of the International Affairs Unit

Griselda joined the University of Guadalajara in July 2019 when she held the position of Responsible for International Programmes in the Coordination for Internationalization. Since July 2020, she has been the Head of the Unit of International Affairs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs at the Universidad Anáhuac del Sur in Mexico City and a master’s degree in Applied Public Management at the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). Nowadays, Griselda is in charge of the incoming/outgoing student mobility programmes of the University of Guadalajara. She is interested in promoting international cooperation, bilateral and multilateral cooperation projects, and particularly in subjects regarding institutions’ challenges for internationalization and international networks.

The University of Guadalajara (UDG) is a vigorous community and one of the most important universities in Mexico. We are a public and autonomous university system in the Mexican state of Jalisco, which combines an international scope and vision with a strong commitment to society. UDG is the second oldest university in Mexico and one of the oldest in Latin America. The University Network of UDG, created in 1994, is composed of 16 campuses and 2 University Systems: The Online University System and the Medium Higher Education System (with 71 high schools). This university has produced outstanding graduates, and promoters of transformation within and outside the state. The University Network increased the reach of the UDG throughout the state. It is an intellectual and economic engine throughout the state.
