BCCIE has been building partnerships and facilitating academic collaborations with colleagues, institutions, and associations in a number of Mexican regions. Much of the focus has been with partners from the Bajío region (west-central), including Jalisco, Guanajuato, Aguascalientes and more recently with Northeastern states. In collaboration with Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service and Languages Canada, we are delighted to welcome a delegation from key Mexican state government departments, where we will explore and advance Mexico/Canada academic partnerships, mobility and exchange, and opportunities for Canadian engagement in capacity-building and professional development initiatives in Mexico, particularly in the area of language education. The forum will conclude with a networking event.
