Description

This session provides BCIEW participants the opportunity to learn about the strategic priorities of the Philippine government with respect to internationalization, including efforts to align internationalization outcomes in higher education delivery and collaborative research with the UN Sustainable Development Agenda 2030. The Philippine government, represented by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), will also present on other specific areas of interest in higher education delivery such as lifelong learning or adult education, indigenous education, and COIL, as well as an overview of opportunities to collaborate with Philippine higher education institutions in agriculture, nursing and innovation. The Commission will also share their successful practices on building a domestic network of higher education institutions or community of practice on internationalization to strengthen opportunities for foreign institutions to collaborate with Philippine higher education institutions. After the presentation, BCIEW participants will have the opportunity to participate in a networking session (one-on-one meetings) with over 30 representatives from Philippine higher education institutions.
