Where will students come from in the next ten years? This question is critical for student recruitment, source country strategy and diversification considerations across the higher education sector in Australia and globally. However, there is relatively limited information on the long-term drivers of global demand for international higher education. The session will present research undertaken by Navitas on the long-term outlooks for international student mobility up to 2030, presenting insights based on key underlying economic, demographic and participation drivers. They will present what this means for overall global student flows, key source countries (such as China and India) and major international education destinations.
