Please join this special noon event where Dr. Sally Gutierez will present her award-winning research on Collaborative Lesson Planning undertaken in 2020 in the Philippines. The study explores how Collaborative Lesson Planning created a positive ‘dissonance’ from traditional lesson planning usually done in isolation. Her research is grounded in social constructivist theory of learning that can be applied in developing teacher professional development resources. This lunch session will be of interest to educators advancing teacher diversity within the profession and better understanding the growing immigrant teacher professionals coming to Canada for both studies and employment.
