Mark lives and works on the traditional and unceded territories of the Wee Wai Kum, Wee Wai Kai, and K’ómoks First Nations. Mark has been involved in international education for the last 30 years in the British Columbia and Ontario systems; as well as internationally in Japan and Thailand in the public, private and NGO sectors. Mark completed his Master of Education in international education from Monash University focusing on the relationship between international education and the commodification of education in the public sector. Mark’s recent work experience includes Vancouver Island University, Durham College and North Island College in roles ranging from marketing, promotion, recruitment, to dean and executive director of international education programs.
