Description

The session will cover Vancouver Community College's (VCC) approach to overcoming enrolment management challenges such as cohort-based models and fluctuating international student demand. To address these, VCC prioritized data, data systems and reporting to support recruitment and enrolment decisions. The process involved building relationships, defining data needs, ensuring data quality, and understanding available tools like Power BI to build effective data systems and reports. Data-driven insights have supported recruitment and enrolment management strategies by identifying key metrics, streamlining processes, and fostering information sharing and collaboration between departments. The session will conclude with a look at future projects, lessons learned, and how VCC uses data to align enrolment management with institutional goals.
