Suhayl Patel is the Associate Dean of Workforce Development at Bow Valley College, where he leads the creation of employer-aligned, competency-based micro-credentials designed to close talent and skills gaps. With a strong focus on collaboration with industry partners, Suhayl ensures learners gain practical, in-demand skills that support career advancement and drive economic growth.

Suhayl is passionate about transforming education to meet the evolving needs of the workforce. He believes that by designing relevant and engaging learning experiences, individuals are better equipped to navigate change, contribute meaningfully to their industries, and build prosperous futures.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s in educational technology. Prior to Bow Valley College, Suhayl held roles as a Development Executive at Apple and Senior Education Specialist with the Calgary Board of Education.
