Join engaging and thought-provoking discussions at BCIEW 2026 as a presenter. We invite you to submit a proposal on a key topic you believe is essential to the field of international education and deserves attention. 

Session Streams

The examples presented are non-exhaustive and are only meant to demonstrate which topics fall under each stream.

International Student Support, Advising, and Transitions

Indigenization and Intercultural Perspectives

Additional Guidelines

  • You will have the option to select a second stream for your proposal submissions
  • We appreciate proposals that not only resonate with chosen stream(s) but also showcase perspectives from multiple institutions
  • Please note that we’re committed to fostering meaningful discussions and, as such, the promotion of products or services in sessions is strictly prohibited

Submission Checklist

  • Your email address, organization, and title
  • Session title (maximum 10 words)
  • Session description (maximum of 250 words)
  • Learning objectives
  • Primary proposal stream
  • Format (choose between 60 minutes or 90 minutes)
  • Co-presenters (include name, email, organization, and title)
  • Detailed session outline (maximum 500 words)
  • Stakeholder community (choose from K-12, Language, Post-Secondary)
  • Level of experience of the audience (choose from new, intermediate, senior)

Presenter Responsibilities

Lead presenters and sessions speakers are responsible for their own transportation, accommodation and conference registration costs. We’re offering a CAD $50 registration discount for selected speakers at BCIEW 2026.

Selected presenters and co-presenters must use the discount code and register by April 15, 2026. BCCIE considers the lead presenter to be the individual who submits the proposal, and all information related to it will be sent to this individual.

Notification of Acceptance

All applications will receive notification of their proposal’s acceptance status by March 2026

Submissions Deadline

Proposals will be accepted until end of day on January 30, 2026.
