Name
Uncovering Bias and Privilege Using an Intercultural Lens
Date
Tuesday, June 22, 2021
Time
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM (PDT)
Description

Unconscious bias and privilege are part of the intercultural, diversity, and inclusion narrative. Current world events are highlighting inequities, while elevating levels of anxiety. Stress is a known factor in contributing to decreased abilities to notice and reduce bias. This session explores how unconscious bias and privilege manifest in our diverse institutions. We invite participants to examine how these processes are part of the fabric of their own contexts and to join us as we identify meaningful strategies to notice and mitigate the effects of bias and privilege when working with diverse populations. Please note this session is in Zoom meeting format and may require (optional) audience video/audio participation.
