COVID19 has given us the opportunity to re-evaluate and think differently about higher education student mobility. Canada, under the leadership of Vancouver Community College, holds the UMAP International Secretariat for the next five years. Using the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) as an anchor for strategic planning, the UMAP consortium is planning and implementing for the next iteration of higher education student mobility – with values of diversity, equity and inclusion at its core. As the National Secretariat for Canada, BCCIE coordinates the UMAP Canada membership in outreach and engagement activities for these important conversations.
