With many years experience at the University of British Columbia and Capilano University in Vancouver Canada, Catherine has developed mobility programs for grads, U/Gs, and faculty. In addition to various directorships Catherine was Dean of Business and then Vice President International Programs until she retired from Cap. She continues to work with institutions on internationalization. Active with BCCIE, CBIE, NAFSA and EAIE she has received institutional awards for excellence in teaching, program innovation and student service as well as provincial and national awards for internationalization leadership. In 2017 she was awarded a PhD Honoris Causa from Pecs University in Hungary as part of their 650th year anniversary celebration for her internationalization work. She serves on the board of governors for University Canada West and as chair of the board for Global Women in International Education (Glow Ed).
