Description

The new IE Code of Practice indicates that the institution has an obligation to provide support to international students while they’re adjusting to life in Canada as well as linking graduating students to programs and supports that will help them find employment. We on the KPU International Advising team observed that our international students have access to a variety of employment resources on campus, but there was no holistic program that supported all of the employment needs that international students have. The goal of our project was to determine if a collaborative approach across different stakeholder groups would provide a better career advising model. Join this session to learn how we utilized this approach to design a career initiative program to enhance student learning with access to unique resources and competencies from each specific stakeholder.
