Adrian has been working with newcomers to Canada for over 10 years! As an immigrant, he understands the excitement and the challenges that come with moving, studying, working, and settling in a new country. He is currently the International Student Success Coordinator at UFV International. In his role, he provides guidance and support for international students at UFV. He helps students learn about and access support and resources available at UFV and in the community. He coordinates global engagement activities and hosts information sessions related to settlement in Canada, the transition into university, and success tips and strategies for international students.
As a Registered International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA), Adrian collaborates with the international student compliance team, providing advise on study permit and work permit questions and concerns.
Adrian is also responsible for cultivating relationships with newcomer settlement agencies, government agencies and stakeholders to address the settlement needs of international students.
