Maika has extensive experience in the higher education and not-for-profit sectors over the past 20 years. For the past 22 years, Maika has been an integral part of the student services team at CityU University in Canada where she is currently the Director of Enrollment and Student Success. Prior to joining CityU, she managed a crisis centre and led an admission team for a weekend university. She holds an M.A. in International Management from the Université de Montréal in Montréal, Québec and is also pursuing a doctoral degree in Education and Leadership (Ed.D.) with a particular interest in adult learners at Simon Fraser University. She is proficient in both official Canadian languages – English and French.
Maika’ s primary responsibility is to ensure excellence and accountability in recruitment and advising across all sites and programs in Canada by leading the student success and advising team.
