Executive Director of Institutional Strengthening
César is currently the Executive Director of Institutional Strengthening at the National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions (ANUIES). Additionally, he holds the position for the third time as president of the Board of Directors of the Mexican Association for International Education, A.C. (AMPEI), which encompasses the majority of Mexican higher education institutions. He has also served as the Director of Internationalization and Linkage at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua for 9 years. He is a professor in the Department of Humanities at the same university, a member of the Disciplinary Group of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at UACH, and serves as the Representative and Coordinator for Mexico within the Latin American Initiative for the Internationalization of Higher Education (INILAT).

His international and intercultural vision has been expanded through his education. He graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) with a degree in Organizational and Corporate Communication in the United States and obtained a Master's degree in Higher Education from UACH in Mexico. He is passionate about higher education, especially internationalization and student mobility, as well as international alliances for research, teaching, and outreach experiences.

Liza is an International Affairs and Language Center Director at Universidad Panamericana, Mexico City campus. She has a degree in Accounting and Business Management from Universidad Panamericana, a Master's in International Marketing and Strategic Brand Management, and a diploma course in Philosophical anthropology at the same institution. She also has the D1—Diploma Program in Senior Business Management from IPADE, the #1 Business School in Mexico. She's studying for her doctoral degree. Within her work experience, she has collaborated with Dupont Company and several positions at the Universidad Panamericana, Mexico City campus. She has been a professor since 2010 for several academic areas including: Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability.

Internationalization at Home and International Cooperation Manager
Ana Lilia is an experienced professional in international education, with over 17 years dedicated to supporting and developing programs for international students and visiting staff. She holds a Master’s in Humanities and a Bachelor’s in International Studies from Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM), complemented by executive education in leadership and organizational skills.

Currently, she serves as Manager of Internationalization at Home and International Cooperation at UDEM, where she leads initiatives that foster global engagement on campus. Her key responsibilities include overseeing COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) projects, the Intercultural Competence Certificate Program, and organizing the UDEM International Fair—efforts that promote intercultural understanding and global citizenship.

Her career at UDEM includes various strategic roles, from coordinating high school exchange programs to advising international students in higher education. She has played a crucial role in strengthening UDEM’s global presence through her leadership in program development, intercultural integration, and student services.

Ana Lilia is also a professor in the Intercultural Competence Program, where she teaches courses that enhance students’ cultural awareness, global mindset, and cross-cultural communication.

Known for her leadership, empathy, and collaborative approach, she is committed to innovation and continuous improvement in international education and student experience.

Director of International Academic Development & Global Initiatives
Alejandra has been working in leadership roles over the past 30+ creating and enhancing international higher education initiatives and collaboration projects. She is a senior member at TEC de Monterrey in Mexico, where she serves as Director of International Academic Development & Global Initiatives at the Vice Rectory for International Affairs. She also has previous experience as Campus President, Dean, Full-time Professor among other positions in the academic arena. She has experience developing international programs in different countries as well as training, consulting and speaking in conferences worldwide.

Alejandra is a NAFSA Leader at the International Education Leadership Knowledge Community (IEL KC) supporting senior international officers and internationalization leaders and at the e-learning certificate program Leadership Essentials for Comprehensive Internationalization and focused on Developing Sustainable Global Partnerships. She was selected as The PIE’s 50 voices of 2024 – North American edition. She was also invited to participate in the British Council IELTS Advocacy Group in 2024.

Alejandra has worked at Universidad de Monterrey for more than 20 years. She is part of the Vice-presidency's Office for Liaison, Effectiveness and Academic Services at the University of Monterrey. As Chief Internationalization Officer, she is responsible for planning and managing the Internationalization strategies of UDEM students, faculty and staff through excellence in service and strengthening relationships that generate value and the transversally of efforts, talent and resources, aligned to the institutional vision. Prof. Yanez worked at the Vice-presidency for Strategic Transformation at Universidad de Monterrey as a part of the Curricular Agile Team. She was the Governance and Institutional Relations manager at the same university for 3 years. She was responsible for the planning and development of policy and advocacy strategies as well as the institutional synergies with the external strategic partners. She was previously the director for Study Abroad and Exchange at UDEM, and is a professor in the Social Sciences Department with experience in international education for 20 years.

Alejandra earned a degree in International Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana, and holds a Master’s in Humanities.
