Masashi Yoshida (RISIA, he/him) is dedicated to helping international students succeed academically and personally in Canada. He has served as an international student coordinator at Langara College for three years, offering guidance on immigration, settlement, and transitioning to life in Canada. He has been overseeing the i-Guide peer mentorship program since 2023. Originally from Nagasaki, Japan, Masashi studied at an international bilingual university in Tokyo and participated in exchange programs in the US and South Korea before moving to Canada for graduate school. He holds a Master’s degree in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies from Simon Fraser University (SFU), where he conducted research on LGBTQ+ migration. He was a mentor in the International Graduate Mentorship Program at SFU.
