Description
AI is rapidly reshaping BC higher education, from classrooms to admissions and student services. But whose identities, languages, and worldviews are reflected in the systems increasingly used across campuses? This interactive session invites educators and international education professionals to explore how to think with AI, not like AI, while navigating an increasingly AI-enhanced post-secondary landscape. Through brief case examples and a guided GPT reflection activity, the session highlights practical questions and considerations to help practitioners engage AI critically while supporting identity affirmation, inclusion, and ethical decision-making.
Learning Outcomes
- Identify how AI use in BC post-secondary classrooms, admissions, and advising may reinforce bias and marginalized non-Western worldviews.
- Recognize ethical tensions in AI-driven educational decisions and maintain human-centered, intercultural awareness in practice.
