Derek Lemieux is an accomplished Senior International Officer. He brings diverse leadership experiences leading strategic global engagement and international initiatives.
Derek also brings experience leading teams responsible for business development, new venture creation, work integrated learning and applied research. Returning to British Columbia, Derek maintains strong ties throughout the province, having built Coast Mountain College’s inaugural international education department and international strategy in 2016. He was recognized with the British Columbia Council for International Education Rising Star in International Education Award.

Derek holds a Business Administration – Marketing Diploma from Algonquin College, Bachelor of Arts from University of Ottawa, Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Royal Roads University, and Instructional Design and Human Resource Development Graduate Certificates from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
