Cyndi Banks is Vice President Academic at University Canada West in Vancouver. Previously she was Associate Vice President of Student Success at Capilano University where she built a Centre for Student Success with centrally co-located learning and support resources for students. She spent 17 years as a professor of criminology and criminal justice (now emeritus), as chair of the Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice, and dean of University College at Northern Arizona University. She worked in the Yukon, in Alaska and overseas and has more than 25 years’ experience in project implementation in developing countries in the fields of juvenile justice, probation, justice policy, women’s rights, and children’s rights.
