Cristian Cano has worked in the International Education sector for 13 years and has a rich background in both private and public domains. His role as Recruitment Manager, International, at Capilano University gave him experience working with diverse student demographics from Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Now assuming the position of Director, Business Programs for the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration at Douglas College, Cristian continues to be passionate about student success. An advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, he has been involved in advocacy since his years as a student. Having visited nearly fifty countries, Cristian enjoys being in multicultural settings, enriching his work with a global outlook.

He currently lives in Vancouver, on the ancestral lands of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
